New Upgrade: 3D(CT) x-ray mode allowing you to rotate the x-ray view for a better look!

Added new summary hover info details to help explain where you made mistakes at the end of the day
Luggage riding a conveyor will now automatically be placed onto the flagged luggage shelving once close enough
Replaced the visual for luggage flight tags with a more realistic and functioning one.
Lowered the price of all upgrades by roughly 25%
Added tooltips to the x-ray screen buttons

Moved radial menu hotkey prompt above the icons to not overlap text
Added x-ray advanced zoom upgrade functionality to work with 3D mode
Replaced somewhat confusing "Delta" input prompt with "Mouse" when rotating objects.

Moved player start point forward a little to prevent interfering with large object deliveries
Updated Polish translations, special thanks to Krystixx.
Added missing translations in the customize app and procedures manual
Changed the way items are sent to the recovery area (individual problematic items now, instead of whole case)
Fixed an exploit where you could earn fast xp and money from resetting the tutorial
Fixed a bug where you could show x-ray machine key and tag bags from afar without the remote upgrade
Fixed an issue that prevented moving the multi or mini confiscation bin if an item was in the other one.
Fixed a bug allowing you to pickup an item on the trolley whilst moving it.
Fixed a bug that caused the zoom warning UI from preventing you from exiting 3D mode.
Prevented an issue where opening a suitcase with hotkey 2 would automatically inspect an item on the same game tick.
Fixed an issue where you couldn't hide the x-ray UI
Fixed issue with the dog sniff task tracking in the career app
Fixed a bug that would cause the room text to become invisible if left empty when editing
Fixed a bug where the added money popup UI would get stuck on the screen

Fixed an incorrectly large toggle in the settings
Fixed an issue where ask your supervisor would get confused on the active limit of tobacco
Informed the supervisor AI that milk falls under the fresh/perishable foods category
Radio now mutes when you pause the game
Many thanks for your incredible patience and support as always! More to come stay tuned!
During development, AI music felt like a great solution for a solo indie developer with no budget. It made getting something into the game quick and easy.
Over time, it’s become clear that it’s not what players want, and honestly, I’m not a fan of it either. I’m now in the process of removing all AI-generated content from the game, starting with the in-game radio.
The in-game radio has been revamped to remove all AI generated music "stations".
Turning on the radio now, you'll be greeted with our default included station - TruckersFM.
You'll also find a new "Setup" button on the front of the radio, which will bring up the new UI for adding stations, and allowing you to include your own .MP3 and .WAV files like before. All existing custom music files added before this update should work just as before.
A huge thank you to TruckersFM for kindly allowing us to include them as the default in-game station.
Their stream is fully licensed through PPL/PRS, and they’ve confirmed it can be embedded and used within the game. Really appreciate their support on this!
Lowered the cost of the advanced summary report upgrade to 300. It should have far more use as an early purchase than a late game one.
Minor bug fixes.
Just to keep open and honest about what in-game content is AI generated:
Main menu music - Although AI, It's instrumental and as of yet, I haven't had any complaints. Let me know if you feel it should be replaced.
Supervisor avatars - These are AI generated images shown when your supervisor talks to you in-game, customizable in the Customize App on your tablet.
Ask your supervisor - This is a 100% optional feature added to the procedures manual. All information about the game can be found in the manual, however if you're unsure on certain things, or can't find the information you seek easily, you can ask your supervisor (powered by ChatGPT, included with knowledge of the game) and it can help you along. I personally see this as an accessibility feature, and as it's fully optional, I feel it can remain.
A new upgrade can be found on your tablet which allows you to place custom conveyor segments wherever you like in build mode.
Once purchased, you can enter build mode and press "C / Left d-pad" to enter conveyor mode.
You'll be able to switch between different sized segments, including a corner piece and a stopper piece.
Segments can be reversed simply by clicking them, or removed from within build mode.
Items and luggage placed on a conveyor will adhere to a "traffic" system, where they will automatically stop if a blockage is detected, or if your stopper segment is raised.
Please note: that tweaks and improvements will happen over time based on feedback
New to your room is an item trolley.
You can place objects onto the trolley as an easy way of transferring them around the room.
As an added bonus, if the trolley is near the end of a conveyor segment, approaching objects will automatically transfer to the trolley.
Please note: The trolley currently only supports items and not luggage. Based on feedback, a larger trolley can be added for luggage.
A new upgrade has been added that shows images highlighting where any missed prohibited or illegal items were located in the luggage.
These can be accessed by hovering over the camera icon on the summary details shown below.
Added 2 new aeroplane cosmetics to the build mode shop
Added a cycling greeting above the localization button on the main menu to better indicate its purpose.
Fixed several bugs
Added bug finders to the in-game credits
As a solo developer and father of twins, I do my best to get updates out for you all to hopefully enjoy, but sometimes they take a little longer than expected.
Although I have had a couple of great people offer to beta test this update, finding additional volunteers was difficult and as such bugs can slip through, so if you find any, do let me know and I'll get them resolved asap!
Craig.
0.8.0 update is currently on the beta branch and I am looking for volunteers to help test and provide feedback.
Custom conveyors allow you to build your own conveyor system by placing segments.
To unlock them, you need to purchase the custom conveyor upgrade from the tablet.
You can then enter build mode and press the default "C" to begin.
Custom conveyors can move both luggage and items around the room, perfect for those to prefer to play organized. They also team up perfectly with the bag pushers, allowing tagged bags to be pushed from the main conveyor onto a branch of your own.
They are still in fairly early development and will be improved over time based on feedback. Placement snapping isn't perfect currently and I am working on improving that before its release.
In addition to the custom conveyors, You'll now find a trolley in your room that can hold multiple items at once. This trolley can be pushed around making it easier for some to take several items to the confiscation bins (if you prefer not to move them closer).
Additionally, as seen below, items moving along the conveyor that come close enough to the trolley will automatically be added to it.
Please note that this only works for individual items and not luggage at this time (I am looking into adding a larger trolley for luggage)
Right click Airport X-Ray Simulator in your steam library.
Select "Properties".
Select "Betas".
In the 'Beta Participation' drop-down, select "beta - Beta testing branch"
Risks: Although I will take great care to prevent it, there is always a small risk of a beta update corrupting your save file. If you don't want to risk this happening, it's best not to participate.
You can post feedback or bug reports on our steam community, or preferably on our Discord: https://discord.gg/mnEZrzRv
Just a quick update to fix a couple of lingering bugs.
Apologies for the hiatus! I had to move house over Christmas which was a nightmare! There are multiple larger updates nearing completion and proper updates should start rolling back out soon!
Fixed a bug that caused career task validation to not update until you restart the game
Fixed a bug that allowed the show/hide x-ray screen button to stay visible during the BSOD event
Hopeful fix that should prevent some suitcases to refuse to open and be sent to the recovery area.
(additional debug added to diagnose this if it persists: ctrl+shift+click a case will show a "debug" option, which will log the state of the items in the case if there's an issue (console view numpad enter))
Craig.
Practice Mode is a new training feature accessible from the main menu, designed to help you sharpen your scanning skills and master item identification without the time pressure of career mode.
Practice Mode includes three distinct training exercises:Learn Mode - Freely explore each bag by hovering your cursor over any item to see its name and material composition. Perfect for familiarizing yourself with the game's extensive item catalog.Spot Mode - Test your observation skills by locating a specific item within the bag. You'll be given the item's details and must find it on the X-ray display.Identify Mode - Challenge your knowledge with a multiple-choice quiz. A random item will be highlighted, and you'll need to correctly identify it from several options. This mode is not recommended for brand new players and is designed to be a tool to help improve your skills after you've played the main game first. There's still plenty of new main game content in the works! I appreciate your patience, myself and my boys have been sick with a virus and has greatly limited my capability to work.
Craig.
Play Airport X-Ray Simulator during October to automatically unlock 2 sniffer dog zombie skins!
Zombie Doberman
Zombie German Shepherd
These doggos will be linked to steam stats and will be unlocked forever! Don't miss out!
Fixed a bug where the material stripping upgrade was not saving after purchase. Apologies for any issues caused!
As always, bigger updates are in the works behind the scenes, but I have to prioritize critical bug fixes beforehand. Thanks for your patience!
- Added firearm serial numbers to the game: All firearms will now have a serial number etched onto the side. You can spot this by rotating the firearm in inspect mode, or by reading the examine text when picked up or inspected. A passenger now requires both a permit, and to have the matching serial number on that permit for the firearm to be classed as "allowed", if a passenger has a permit but an incorrect serial number - it needs to be flagged. Firearm serial numbers are a small part of a future major update to flagging. - Lowered the height on the low workbench table so bags pushed off the conveyor should now be pushed onto this table.(will tweak as needed) - Added X-ray zoom control to the bindings page, although it is locked for now and only used as reference. - Fixed a bug that didn't update your level on the career tab app. - Fixed a lagg spike when bags reached the end of the conveyor. - Fixed a bug that allowed passengers to have multiple large blade permits. - Added a 'What's new' popup on the main menu when important gameplay features are modified. - Reduced scoring penalization slightly overall, and by around 25-30% on fun mode.(Will adjust more with feedback.) - Fixed a bug that prevented the poster above the conveyor to move when you purchase conveyor pushers. - Added a standardized wage of £20 at the end of the day regardless of score payment.(slave labor I know.) - Misc bug fixes. I appreciate your patience with the delay of this small update, I had to take some time off in the last month due to sickness and a family get together, I am now back in full swing and am working on much larger updates! stay tuned! Craig.
