We have some amazing news!
After further discussions, DreamStudios has officially been given the green light to develop A Simple Job 2. ❤️
🛠️ A Simple Job (the first game) is now complete and will no longer receive any updates.
🚀 Instead, we're putting our full focus on A Simple Job 2—keeping the same humor and chaotic gameplay you loved, while introducing modern graphics, brand-new features, and countless improvements.
The Steam page for A Simple Job 2 is now live, and you can already add the game to your wishlist!
Important: The screenshots, images, and trailer currently available on the Steam page are announcement materials intended to showcase the planned visual direction of the game. They do not represent the current state of development. As development progresses, they will be replaced with real gameplay footage, updated screenshots, and a final trailer.
👉 Wishlist A Simple Job 2 on Steam today!
Many of you asked us to create the sequel without using generative AI.
We're happy to confirm that:
✅ A Simple Job 2 is being developed entirely by DreamStudios. ✅ No generative AI will be used during development. ✅ All assets, artwork, and content are created by our own team.
🎮 Retail Rivals is currently in its final stage of development.
Planned Release: July 24, 2026
Development of A Simple Job 2 is already underway in parallel.
Once Retail Rivals has launched, our team will shift even more of its focus toward A Simple Job 2.
🎯 Our current goal is to release A Simple Job 2 later this year.
We can't wait to share development updates, gameplay footage, and behind-the-scenes content with you over the coming months.
Welcome back to A Simple Job. ❤️
— The DreamStudios Team
Dear Community,
Today, we have to share some unfortunate news with you—news that is incredibly difficult for us to write.
After many discussions, the collaboration between DreamStudios and Saturn91 has come to an end.
The reason is that Saturn91 decided not to continue the development of A Simple Job. As we were unable to agree on a shared future for the project, we mutually agreed to permanently end its development.
Unfortunately, this also means that A Simple Job will not receive any further updates, content, or expansions.
At DreamStudios, we have always made it our goal to properly finish every game we create.
That is why this decision hurts us more than words can express. A Simple Job will become the first game in our studio's history that we cannot finish the way we originally envisioned.
A final DLC featuring the two most requested endings from the community was already planned.
In addition, A Simple Job 2 was already in its early concept phase. We had planned a major visual overhaul, improved gameplay mechanics, and many new ideas inspired by your feedback.
Sadly, none of these plans will ever become reality.
We know many of you have been waiting for new updates over the past months.
DreamStudios truly wanted to continue supporting A Simple Job and give it the ending we always believed it deserved. However, due to the agreement reached between the project partners, we are no longer able to continue development.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who played the game, shared feedback, created content, or simply supported us throughout this journey.
Without you, A Simple Job would never have become what it is today.
While this chapter is coming to an end, DreamStudios is not.
The experience we gained from A Simple Job has taught us many valuable lessons, and we have taken those lessons into our current project, Retail Rivals.
Unlike A Simple Job, Retail Rivals is being developed, managed, and published entirely by DreamStudios. This allows all important decisions to remain within our studio and helps ensure that situations like this cannot happen again.
For us, Retail Rivals is far more than just another game.
It represents our passion, our experience, and everything we have learned over the years. We have invested countless hours into making it the best game we possibly can.
We sincerely hope you will continue this journey with us and give Retail Rivals a chance.
Thank you for your trust, your support, and for being part of the A Simple Job community.

We have good news! Saturn91 founded a studio in the last few months, and we're proud to announce their new game Shoes in the Fridge!
If you liked A simple job, you will love Shoes in the Fridge. Go Wishlist it now!
Shoes in the Fridge is a standalone game unrelated to A Simple Job, but because Saturn91 is involved, you'll find similarly silly humour, puzzle seeking, and achievement hunting as in A simple Job.
A big difference, we now actually have a 3D Artist AND a Composer in our team, CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!
We are planning to release a Demo soon. So keep an eye on the page (and wishlist) so you don't miss that.
Hello everyone!
I wanted to briefly introduce a new project I’ve been working on. Stellarcraft is now officially available in Full Release 1.0!
The game is a large tower defense adventure that you can play solo or in 4-player co-op. Build defenses, gather resources, upgrade your towers, and fight your way across multiple planets full of enemies.
The full release includes features such as:
🌌 4 planets + a bonus planet ⚔️ PvP mode with its own maps 👾 Many different enemies 🧠 Skill tree with over 100 upgrades 🔫 New weapons & towers 🧰 Crafting, resource systems & base management 🤝 Co-op for up to 4 players
⭐ To celebrate the launch, the game is currently 20% off.
If you enjoy tower defense, co-op gameplay, and large games with lots of progression, feel free to check it out!
Thanks for your support – DreamStudios
Hey everyone! Today we’re releasing a small but nice content update for A Simple Job.
Lately, development has slowed down a bit, as the game unfortunately hasn’t been performing well enough to justify putting full-time development energy into it. The Airlines DLC in particular fell far below our expectations. That said, we will of course keep our promise and finish the Airlines DLC just the way you and we imagined it.
At this point, no additional DLC is planned. However, if the game happens to gain more reach or positive Steam reviews in the future, we might reconsider creating another DLC never say never.
✨ 2 new achievements both are poop-related
💞 Love Birds now actually walk out of the toilet
🧭 Kelly now opens the crew department door properly, preventing players from getting stuck inside
🎥 Fixed overlapping Steam friends in the cinema
🛫 Added Steam friends inside the airplane
Thank you all for your support, your feedback, and for continuing to play A Simple Job. Even though the game didn’t reach as far as we had hoped, we truly appreciate every single person who enjoys our game. ❤️
See you in the next update and as always, have fun playing! 🎮
The wait is over pack your bags, check in, and put your seat in the upright position! On Friday, September 26, at 10:00 CEST, our brand-new DLC A Simple Job Airlines takes to the skies completely free! 🎉
👉 Boarding is free for all players – no ticket, no hassle, just hop on and enjoy.
👉 Turbulence? Maybe. Fun? Absolutely.
👉 And yes: there might be tomato juice.
So buckle up, switch your phone to airplane mode, and get ready see you above the clouds!
We’ve been listening to your reports about texture and lighting problems — thank you for taking the time to share them! Unfortunately, this isn’t an easy fix, but the latest update should help us narrow down where the issue is coming from.
Without going into all the technical details, we suspect that this problem only affects a specific group of users. If you see the window attached to this post when the game starts, you’re part of that group: If possible, please share:
A screenshot of this window (the title contains important information for us).
Screenshots of any rendering issues you notice in your game. This will help us pinpoint the cause much faster.
Other Fixes in This Update:
Fixed the flashlight during the power outage event (wasn’t working for,
some players).,
Fixed a bug where the final credits rolled very slowly for some users. Thanks for your patience and continued feedback — it’s making a real difference in improving the game for everyone!
🎉 Developer Announcement! 🎉 Hey everyone – Saturn91 here!
You asked (a lot)... and we heard you (with subtitles on, soon™)! That’s right – due to popular demand, we’re currently working on implementing English subtitles into the game! 📝🔊
We don’t have an exact release date yet, but it’s definitely happening – within the next few weeks. We want to make sure they’re clear, readable, and maybe even a little ridiculous (in the best way, of course).
So if you’ve been waiting to experience every mumble, whisper, and unhinged scream in written form – your time is coming.
Thanks for your patience, your enthusiasm, and your extremely polite (and loud) messages asking for this feature. 😅
Stay tuned, – Saturn91 🌀 DreamStudios
P.S. Yes, the voice will have subtitles. We’re...sorry? 👀
Over 110 reviews already at halftime?! Are you all completely out of your minds?! 😄 Your support is absolutely insane – and for that, we just want to say:
We, Robin & Saturn91 from DreamStudios, are beyond thrilled by your feedback, your creative endings, and every single review. You’ve blown us away – in the best kind of crazy way!
You delivered – now it’s our turn! The first DLC is in the works and will be released for free. 💸
A brand-new, absurd job
Of course, in what you call “Minecraft-style graphics”
(it’s called voxel graphics – but who are we I to judge. 😅)
We’re aiming for the beginning of next month – maybe even a bit sooner! But keep in mind:
Saturn91 is developing everything solo, but dedicated
And holliday season is right arround the corner (modeling 3D airplanes envokes holliday feelings!) So a well earned vacation might take place.
Don’t press the button Or… should you? 👀 Keep the feedback coming – we love every single message And get ready for more endings & chaos
Without you, none of this madness would exist. And don’t worry: It won’t get better. Only worse. 😈 – Robin & Saturn91 DreamStudios 🌀
Hey! We figured it was time to bother you with even more new content. 😈 This time, we’ve added two brand-new achievements – plus a bunch of other tweaks, fixes, and shenanigans we squeezed in between caffeine highs and existential crises.
🎖️ Slenderman?!
You feel watched... and not just by us. 👀 (Can you even get scared in this game? Go find out.)
🎖️ The Hole?
What happens when you stare into the void for too long? So many questions. Maybe you’ll find an answer. Or maybe... the hole finds you. 😶
💾 Settings now save!
A groundbreaking feature: your settings actually stay saved. Even after restarting. We know – wild.
🔁 Vsync setting added!
Choose now if you want to play with vsync on or off. Fewer desync moments where you wondered if the game was haunted (though... maybe it still is).
🌳 Tree graphics updated:
Our trees now look more... tree-ish. Prettier. Greener. Less like sad sticks.
🚀 Performance improvements:
We did some behind-the-scenes optimizations to help things run smoother and crash less. Probably.
🎬 Studio logos at game start:
From now on, our studio logos greet you when you launch the game. Because you deserve to know exactly who made this glorious mess. 😇
Thanks for playing, for your wild ideas, and for pressing the button when you really shouldn’t have. Stay weird – and remember: Just because there's a button doesn’t mean you have to press it. (But yeah... press it. Obviously.) 🔴💥
First of all, a huge thank you for your amazing feedback – you all are incredible! 🎉 We got to work right away and have already optimized a few things. Meanwhile, we’re also working hard on a small content update that will be released tomorrow! 🛠️✨ We want to keep developing A Simple Job together with you – so: Tell us your wishes! Whether it’s core improvements, absurd gameplay ideas, or brand-new jobs – everything is welcome. A basketball hoop? A button with a personality? Or an office with... even more chaos? 🏀💥 Get creative – the coolest ideas might (maybe) make it straight into the game! 😈 💡 And don’t worry: As long as you’re playing A Simple Job, we’ll keep delivering new content – no matter how crazy, absurd, or pointless it may be. The more you press, the more you get back. Promise. 😇🔴 🛠️ Mini-Update – 07. June 🔧 We’ve got a small but sweet update for you: 🥇 New Achievement:
A brand-new achievement is here – and it lets you mess with the boss a little.
But be careful: We hope he doesn’t come back twice as fast... 😈
📺 Windowed Mode Option:
You can now play in windowed mode! You’ll find it in the settings – that means the Settings room. Have fun clicking in and out.
🗺️ Room Display:
From now on, the game will show which room you’re in in the top right corner. No more getting lost (well... in theory).
🏆 Achievement Help:
Room specific achievements now show which room you can find them in. Because we know how much you hate searching. 😉
📚 Community Guide:
Two of you maniacs actually made a guide on Steam! We love it – and we love you. Thanks for being our test subjects... and yes, you pressed the button. Of course you did. 🔴💥 (you might want to update the guide now for that new achievement xD)
🛠️ More Fixes & Improvements: 🧱 Ceiling fixed:
Now you can only leave the map on purpose. No more unauthorized flying adventures! 😅 - I see you misterM!
🎍Plant repaired:
You can no longer walk through the plant like it’s air. (Jesus why is there always one collider missing!)
🖼️ Sleep window improved:
Looks way better on wide screens now – some parts weren’t displaying properly before. Now enjoy sweeter dreams in better resolution. 😌✨
Thanks for playing and for all your support! Stay weird – and don’t touch the button. Or... maybe do?
🚨 IT’S HERE!
The red button is waiting. The voice is ready. And YOU… really shouldn’t be playing this. But you will. 😈
🎮 Play. ⭐ Rate. 🤯 Regret.
Test your self-control – or throw it out the window. Now available for FREE!
PS: The faster you press it, the faster things get weird. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. 😇
#ASimpleJob #DontPushTheButton #IndieGame #OutNow
right # don't go lol
🎉 RELEASING TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT on Steam: A Simple Job is going live! 🔴💥 Ready for your dream job? Hopefully not.
Just don’t press the red button. Or… do. What’s the worst that could happen? 😈
🌀 A Simple Job is an absurd, mind-bending little game with more endings than you’ll have reasons to hate that button – and it’s 100% free. 💸
🔔 Available for free on Steam starting at 12:00 AM – Meet the voice that will drive you mad. (Spoiler: it hates you too.)
👉 Sit back. Think. Don’t press. ...Or do?
