Hello, all ye faithful!
Today sees the launch of Occlude, the latest release from me and everyone else at Tributary Games. I wrote the game narrative, top to bottom, so if you liked the writing in AHOMD I hope there's something for you here as well.
I'm really pleased with how this came together - it's a jigsaw puzzle plot, with a lot going on behind the scenes (I wrote a 30,000 word setting bible that only I have ever laid eyes on, and only about half of which actually made it into the main game). My philosophy was to provide tiny intermittent windows into a vast and complex tale, gradually revealing the full scope of the story. Lore hounds will love this one. Also, fans of esoteric puzzles.
It's a very different narrative experience from A House of Many Doors, but it features some familiar themes - dread, cosmic horror, time shenanigans, all that good stuff.
Check it out! And don't forget to leave a review!
