Visual Updates!
I've added some new UI and a space background for the upgrades.
I've also made the asteroids a bit more asteroid shaped.
Next I'm going to add some variation to the asteroids!
Little Ghosties is a cozy idle desktop companion game where adorable ghosts live inside a terrarium on your desktop. Hatch, raise, and collect unique ghosts as they grow from eggs into fully grown adult ghosts.
The demo is out now!
Once the deme is in a good place I'll be back over to AGAMAP to do some more game modes. I'm thinking a projectile mode of some sort!
If you liked the game a Steam review would really help get us out of the Mixed review hole I seem to be in at the moment.
Cheers!
Chris.
Hi!
I'm so happy with how the game launch and reception has gone. Thank you all so much for the lovely feedback.
As a thank you I've launched the soundtrack to the game. I've made 5 tracks for the game using a synth called Vital. It's the first time I've launched any solo music.
I've also launched the supporters bundle which includes the supporter DLC where you can change the colours of the particles and the soundtrack is also included in the bundle along with the game.
I've set the discount to the supporters bundle to 25% as a thank you for all the support and lovely reviews I've received so far.
I'll still be chugging away on more game modes so stay tuned for that.
Cheers!
Chris.
We have launched the game!
I can't wait to read your reviews!
I'm working on some minor bug fixes already.
Let me know how you are getting on!
Cheers!
Chris
Hi!
We made it!
Launch day is Monday 4th of May.
I've also added some more planet visuals to level 2 and 3 and I've also added 2 more music tracks making 5 in total and around 13 mins of ambient music for the game.
I'm really looking forward to launching this game for you all.
I can't wait to read the Steam reviews. The demo has had some lovely feedback so far.
See you on the other side!
Chris

We are 1 week from launch!
Wow that's exciting! And I've managed to get 3 Mode into the main version of the game.
In 3 Mode you earn 3 currency per round and each upgrade costs 1 so you get 3 upgrades per round.
All upgrades are unlocked in 3 mode and we have reset buttons so you can experiment with different builds.
Keep an eye out on YouTube for coverage on the game, fingers crossed we have some big news to share.
I've also been doing lots of bundles so when you come to buy the game, there will be lots of other similar games to buy.
I've also been sorting a supporter pack DLC for game. The supporter pack allows you to change the colour of the particles on the fly as you play. There are lots of colour combinations inspired by other incremental games.
Cheers!
Chris
In V38 I've added Endless Mode to the main version of the game. It's a chill colourful rest bite from the upgrades of levels 1, 2 and 3.
I hope you all enjoy it. It's available to play by default as it's just for chilling out.
We are really nearly ready to launch. I just want to add a few more bits and pieces to make the launch go well.
Make sure you follow and wishlist so you know when the game comes out. I'm aiming for a Monday over the next few weeks.
Cheers,
Chris
V34 has lots of bug fixes.
The Upgrades after level 1 were kind jibberish but I've fixed that now.
Next I still need to do some more localisation and polish and then the fun stuff like more game modes.
Cheers.
Chris
Hi!
I've been a bit quiet recently. It's because I've been getting my head down after the playtesting, implementing all the updates and getting the game closer to launch.
For people with the steam key for the main game, if you go onto the testing branch in steam. Right click on the game in the library, click properties and then go to Game Versions & Betas. Then select the testing branch. In the game it will say V31 on the bottom right corner.
If someone could give it a test and let me know how you get on, I'd be very grateful.
So we are nearly ready for launch. I just need to do some more game modes and a supporter pack with more colour options.
Cheers,
Chris
Hi!
I'm super happy to announce my new game mode '3 Mode' has launched!
You have to play the normal mode to unlock 3 mode.
It's a new game mode where each round you can choose from 3 upgrades so you can play with different builds.
Also I've added my favourite upgrade, Strings!
They are just so swooshy and satisfying.
Also the new game mode comes with a new colour scheme and planet design inspired by Tower Wizard.
Have fun and please leave a demo review on Steam. It really helps spread the word about the game.
Now I just have to finish making the main game and launch it.
Cheers!
Chris.
Hi!
I've just launched the testing for the game. So it's all about upgrades.
I'm testing what upgrades work, what don't, what feels good, what doesn't
If you wanted to let me know your feedback via the google form. The feedback button in the game will take you to a google form to fill in.
I hope you have fun playtesting!
Feel free to share any content on the game too. It all helps get the wishlists going.
I've got over 2k wishlists now which is amazing!!
A new game mode is launching on the demo very soon with the strings upgrade and new visuals.
All the best,
Chris

Hi!
So on the main game we have some new updates.
Menu bug fix
Geyser Particle FX adjusted
Gravity Beam Adjusted
Spaceship Has Woosh Line!
Instant Gravity Pulse Image Updated
Demo Mode Bug Fixes.
I will be launching the playtest soon and I have some ideas on what to focus on next.
I'm thinking a Crit Bonus Moon would be cool where if a particle hits the moon you get a larger merge bonus.
As ever a demo review would be lovely, we are 3 away from 10! That would get us more visibility and traffic from Steam.
Cheers!
Chris.

Hi!
I've been working away at improving the demo.
Version 26 is now live and it includes:
Mine spinning issue resolved
Tutorial particles don't disappear between rounds
Minor bug fixes
I hope you enjoy it and please leave a demo review. It really helps if we get to 10 reviews with Steam visibility.
I've been working away at a playtesting round too so make sure you sign up for that when it is available but it will be a limited time playtest.
I've also had more lovely plays from content creators on YouTube. So please give them a like and a hello when you come across them.
Also give my account a follow on Steam to stay up to date on progress.
Cheers!
Chris.
Hi!
I've been busy working away at some new upgrades and I have loads for you to try out.
Particle Rings: The particles sometimes spawn rings which makes them bigger and collect more particles.
Gravity Beam: A beam of gravity that aligns nearby particles.
Geysers: Particles vent out a stream of gas that propels it in a random direction.
Instant Gravity Pulse: Collect these to instant initiate a gravity pulse.
Strings: A chance to connect nearby particles with strings. They look like constellations.
Spaceship!: A spaceship comes along bouncing the particles but if you catch it, a tractor beam collects the particles in it's path!
I'm going to do a public playtest soon but at first I'm testing with steam keys with a few people to test that everything works.
The playtest will feature these upgrades and you can have a play and mix and match and reset the upgrades.
More soon.
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi!
Just a small update today.
Version 25 has UI updates and some minor bug fixes.
A demo review would be really helpful!
Take care!
Chris.
Acrylic Pixel Games
Hi!
I've been chipping away at the demo after some lovely feedback.
Here are the update:
Updated Currency UI
End Round Stage Bug Fix
Demo End has a Larger Planet!
Upgrade UI Improvement
Merge Bug Fixed
Updated Game Balance
I still need to fix a couple of bugs, one where the mine spins too much if a particle gets onto it and one where the planet sometimes doesn't reset size between rounds. It doesn't affect the gameplay, it's just a visual bug.
If you liked the demo, please leave a Steam review and give me a follow on steam to keep up to date with the game progress. It really helps solo devs like me.
I've had some organic YouTube videos made on the demo which is really cool to see.
If you are a content creator and want a Steam Key, please reach out to me.
All the best!
Chris
Acrylic Pixel Games
Hi! Chris here, developer of A Game About Making A Planet.
The game has now passed 1,000 wishlists, 2,000 demo downloads, and 730 unique demo players. Coverage from GrayStillPlays and Idle Cub gave the game a strong visibility boost and brought in a wave of new players. Hi guys! I've also had 2 great reviews on the demo so far.
Here are the latest changes in Version 23:
Fixed spawn issue where particles were disappearing
Fixed VSync frame rate issue
Improved Gravity Mine spinning bug (may refine further)
Added Asteroid tail particle effects and updated asteroid visuals
Improved skill tree display text clarity
Added “Play Round” button at end of a round
Increased the round time
General UI improvements
Added evolution stage VFX so background particles and rings now zoom outward to create the impression that we are zooming out during evolution
If you played and liked the demo, please leave a review. It really helps with visibility.
More updates soon.
Hi!
Thanks everyone so far who has played the demo and posted videos on YouTube! It's so cool to see people enjoy the game. I'm so happy to see it!
Version 22 is the demo launch version. We have...
Minor bugs fixed and minor improvements
End Round sound updated
Skill Tree balance
End Game fixes
Multiple language support
Mines look like the upgrade symbol
Start particles position changed to not overlap with the start button
UI merge currency on top of the particles
If you have seen one of the recent YouTube videos from Idle cub or GrayStillPlays then we have ambient music and the planet is more detailed and we have squashy wiggles happening on the merges.
If you liked the game and want to help out, a review on the demo page of Steam would be great.
We now have a cute planet!
I've also amended some sound effects and made some adjustments to the upgrade tree visuals.
Hi, I've been busy working on the game and I've been making some ambient music tracks too!
So far I've made 2 tracks that loop. They are more background sound for now but the next ones I add will have a little more melody to them.
I've also added some visual effects and changed a bit of the skill tree.
